"Mirrors" presented by AC Drama

We know that history repeats iteself. What about family patterns of life - do they also repeat? Mirrors shows two generations of a family simultaneously - the 1960's family (Mansfields) and the 1980's family (Simons) - as if one were a mirror reflection of the other: the happiness, the sadness, the love, the hate, the dreams, the reality.

The playwright, Jerome McDonough, said, "Mirrors is a serious play, but it is not a somber one. There is much joy in the script and that joy should be played. After all, Mirrors is about death, isn't it? Yes, but its real subject is life. And how we almost never realize its importance until some vital part of it is gone."

The ACHS Drama Department will present this competition play at Mississippi State University on December 1-2 for the Mississippi Theatre Association's North MS Drama Fest.  The top four schools will continue competing at the State MTA Festival in mid-January.  The Drama Department will present their play on Monday, November 27 at 6:00 p.m. for their families and friends.  We hope you will join us then and see our presentation of "Mirrors."
